This evening’s community meeting on the budget is rescheduled for Thursday, February 11th at 7:30 pm (Note the time change) at Central Office.

 Three area schools are dismissing early due to weather today. Union High School is releasing at Noon, while Vinton-Shellsburg is letting out two hours early.

  The Union Knights wrestling team had some ups and downs Saturday at the sectional meet in Vinton, but came away with three champions and one second place finisher.

VINTON— The Vinton Eagle was the recipient of 11 awards Friday evening presented by the Iowa Newspaper Foundation in Des Moines.

 An early lead didn't last long as the Marion Indians nearly led wire-to-wire over the Vinton-Shellsburg Vikings Friday night 63-53.
